On 4th Oct 2012 students of grade 5 went to Huda Market in Gurgaon to buy ingredients of sandwich. They did so in order to understand the UNITARY METHOD OF COSTING. They bought the ingredients on their own and calculated the cost. After coming back to the school they made the sandwich and calculated that per sandwich cost which came out to be
Rs. 12.30. They compared the cost of the sandwich made by them with the ready made sandwich in the market which was for Rs.30. So they came to know that sandwich made by them was cheaper and healthier then the ready made sandwich.
